Where: Bowling Green, Ohio (this is in NW Ohio - the largest anime con of NW Ohio and southern Michigan)
Cosplay, vendor room, panels, guest speakers, and mayhem for one day! Shake off those winter blues and have some fun! At this convention I will be hosting a ‘Kimono 101′ workshop. There I will provide a brief over view, and 1 hour long discussion on kimono and how they are worn. In addition to the kimono workshop, I will be selling kimono. Once more I will have a selection of kimono (mens and womens), haori (mens and womens), and some obi for sale.

Hey everyone. I'm thinking of cosplaying Selphie (FFVIII), as per my fiancee's request, lol, and I was wondering--what does her necklace look like? I can't find a good picture of it anywhere online! It seems like she only wears it in some pictures :\

Does anyone have a handmade ANBU mask they'd be willing to part with (or could make one and have it shipped out by this weekend)?
I don't want that generic plastic one you can buy on eBay/Amazon. I'm looking for a handmade one. I've commissioned two people now and they've keep having communication lapses, so I'm starting to panic.
I figured I'd try here because I'm sure someone else has cosplayed ANBU. Thanks!

My cosplay partner & I just premiered our Red Spy & BLU Scout's Mom costumes at Megacon this weekend (to spectacular reception) and in celebration I wanted to share our photoshoot with everyone. Hello! It has been a really long time since I've cosplayed. Usually when I go to conventions, I drink a lot with my friends and play IIDX. Now I kind of want to cosplay IIDX. It's like who I was when I was 15 meets who I am now!
The only problem is that the cosplays I did when I was younger were very basic, the kind of thing you'd expect from your typical fifteen year-old fangirl who makes her costume in like, the week leading up to the convention. I'm trying to think ahead and make this actually look good, but I have NO IDEA where to start. Any ideas?
I'm looking at ( Ameto from IIDX Empress. )
Also, I don't own a sewing machine at college. I used to use my mom's. How much do they cost, and where can I get a functional, but working one? I finally have a source of income but, by all standards, I am still a poor college student.

Hi everyone! I am thinking about commissioning someone to make a Lightning (Final Fantasy XIII) costume for me! No spoilers, I'm only a little ways into the game :D
I would especially like to hear from plus-size cosplayers. I would like to commission someone who knows how to cut a costume in a flattering way for a bigger person :)
My questions:
-Do you have any advice on choosing a good costume artist? I have no idea where to begin D:
-Is there anyone you would recommend?
I would like to have it by the beginning of June if possible :D And I live in the Central Florida area!

I've been trying to find a green shirt (no pockets) for Zenya but i haven't had any luck, let alone finding a white shirt & dyeing it green, (without pockets in MENS sizes) ><
I've scouted all over ebay, but there's hardly anything in SZ S that would work for the character.
Could anyone suggest any other sites??

I've been kind of down in the dumps a little since yesterday evening, when I tried to make cupcakes that kind of flopped; I think I made them a little large, and the batter really wasn't that good to begin with; I'll have to look for a different one when I decide I'm going to care again.
There's something just...really depressing about not being able to do something you've always done. I know it's not a personal failing (it's that I don't have a goddamn real oven that actually heats things evenly), but it still kind of bothers me; and then, of course, I've become a bit spendthrift, so part of me is like damn it, that was a few dollars in ingredients I could have used on something I actually could have eaten.
I've been having lovely afternoons with ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) sudaki, too, and so when she's not around it's that sort of lonely where there's so many things I know I could get done, but I just don't want to for some reason. I even tried picking up my DS, and realized that I had no idea what the hell I was even doing in the game I was playing because it's been so long since I had played in the first place.
So, like a loser, I'm escaping into fandom and watching clips on Youtube, though I did have a fun conversation over Skype with panda_monium earlier.
I just feel so...ick, today, and I don't even have a right to bitch since I'm apparently not willing to do anything about it.
I'll just be over here playing the world's smallest violin for myself, clearly.

I'm selling my Knight of 7 Suzaku Uniform! Set includes: Cape, coat, the inner black long-sleeved shirt, and pants. It was originally commissioned from COS00. I'm very sure I'm not going to be wearing it anymore and it's way too big on me, so it's time to find it a new home. It's in excellent condition, and worn only twice for a total of ... maybe a few hours annnd already dry-cleaned for obvious reasons.
It's a Size 8. It should fit anyone:
Bust: 34 to 36
Waist: 27 to 30
Hips: 36 to 38

If you're in the US, that includes a tracking number.
